Unseeded Marton Fucsovics will on Tuesday battle 28th seed Tallon Griekspoor in the first round at Wimbledon. The winner will play the winner of the tie between Marcos Giron and Hugo Dellien in the second round. Marton Fucsovics arrives for the season’s third Grand Slam looking to add to his 23 wins. The Hungarian has been decent this year and has lost only 10 fixtures. After struggling on clay, Fucsovics has dominated on grass where he has won five of his six matches. He made his grass debut in Stuttgart where he rose from the qualifiers to the semifinals. Considering also that he has defeated Griekspoor before, he will be confident of winning here. Fucsovics defeated Griekspoor last season in Rotterdam in their only encounter to date. His run in Stuttgart has allowed him to move up four places to 63rd in the live ranking.

Tallon Griekspoor is down one place to 32nd in the live ranking. He has also dominated on grass and will hope to continue doing so at the All England Club. Switching to grass for the year, Griekspoor won the title in Hertogenbosch. This was his second title of the year and second at tour level after his Maharashtra Open success in January. He was eliminated in the quarterfinals in Halle in his last match and has now won 22 of his 33 matches. The Dutchman is making his fourth appearance in Wimbledon where his best result was making the second round last year.
