Marton Fucsovics vs Sebastian Korda Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open

Unseeded Marton Fucsovics and 31st seed Sebastian Korda will yet again face off, on Monday at the US Open. Advancing from this first-round tie will set up a second-round showdown with either unseeded Pavel Kotov or wildcard Rinky Hijikata. Fucsovics lost to Korda in his last match, less than a week ago in the second round at Winston-Salem. He will target an immediate response, hoping to advance from this round for only the third time. Fucsovics has reached the main draw here for the eighth time in a row. He however comes for this edition in struggling form. The Hungarian has lost three of his last four matches and has been defeated five times in his last 10 outings. He has a 28-19 record. The majority of his victories, 14, have come in 23 matches on hard court. This form on the surface has provided him with the only silverware of his season thus far. Ranked 57th in the live rankings, Fucsovics won the Canberra challenger at the start of the season.

Sebastian Korda is in doing well at the moment, as he has won his last three matches. One of those matches was against Fucsovics. He will hope this form continues as he makes his fourth main draw appearance in the year’s final major. After defeating Fucsovics at Winston-Salem, Korda went on to reach the semifinals at the ATP 250 event. He would however grant a walkover to eventual runner-up Jiri Lehecka in order to prepare for this home major. Winston-Salem provided him the chance to add to his hardcourt record which stands at 12-5. This strong form on the surface saw him get to the final in Adelaide at the start of the season. Korda has twice been eliminated in the first round here. He however did manage to break this jinx last season, but suffered a second-round exit. The American is currently 31st in the live ranking.
