Martina Trevisan vs Jelena Ostapenko Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Miami

24th seeded Jelena Ostapenko reached the finai in Miami five years ago. This is the first time she's made it past the third round since and takes on 25th seeded Martina Trevisan. A win will take the victor into the last eight and a match against either Elise Mertens or more likely 10th seed (and recent winner at Indian Wells) Elena Rybakina. Ostapenko began this tournament ranked 22nd but is up two places in the live rankings. It's been a good year so far for the 25 year-old who is 14th in the Live WTA Race. Her best performance was in the Australian Open when losing in the last eight to Rybakina. Three of the next four tournaments saw her reach the last 16 and the Latvian has again reached that stage here. The last round saw her defeat 13th seeded Beatriz Haddad Maia in three sets.

Martina Trevisan began this Miami Open ranked 24th. One aim will be to get back to her career high 21st achieved in January of this year. Her year got off to a good start in terms of ranking points as she was part of the Italian team that were runners-up in the United Cup. Trevisan only won two of her five singles matches and one of those was a three-set win over a player ranked outside the top 300, the other being against Maria Sakkari. Her form dipped after beating Sakkari and the Italian lost her five matches winning just 20 games and not one set. A win over Madison Brengle in Indian Wells ended that poor run but she lost to Karolina Muchova in the next round. In Miami, Trevisan has won two matches in a singles tournament for the first time this year but had to come from a set down in round two to beat Claire Liu.
