Martina Trevisan vs Coco Gauff Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA French Open

18th seeded Coco Gauff can reach her first Grand Slam final. The American takes on unseed Martina Trevisan for a place in the title decider against either Iga Swiatek or Daria Kasatkina. Gauff reached the quarter finals at Roland Garros last year but has gone one step further this year. Wednesday saw her defeat fellow American Sloane Stephens in straight sets with only seven games lost. Gauff hasnt had the best of clay court seasons up to heading to Roland Garros. Her best had been two last 16 appearances. Good form has been shown in the French Open though with victories over Rebecca Marino, Alison Van Uytcanck, Kaia Kanepi and 31st seeded Elise Merten before the win over the unseeded Stephens. Gauff has made it to the last four without dropping a set. The American is up to 19th in the live rankings (up four places) and can rise up to 13th if winning this match.

Martina Trevisan is also bidding to reach a Grand Slam final for the first time in her career. Her previous best was a quarter final in this tournament and the Italian began this event ranked 59th. Her run to this semi-final has taken her up to 26th and if winning this match will take over the 19th place that her opponent currently holds. One tournament has been won this year by Trevisan but that was only at the 250 series level. The highest ranked player she beat in winning that tournament in Rabat was Garbine Muguruza. At Roland Garros, Trevisan has so far beaten Harriet Dart, Magda Linette, Daria Saville and Aliaksandra Sasnovich without dropping a set. That record was lost in her quarter final when having to go to a final set to get past 17th seeded Leylah Fernandez. Trevisan has had one previous match against Gauff and that was at Roland Garros two years ago with the Italian winning in three sets. This looks like being a tight match but Gauff can get the win, possibly in three sets.
