Marketa Vondrousova vs Marie Bouzkova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Wimbledon Championships

Unseeded Marketa Vondrousova is in the fourth round at Wimbledon for the first time. The Czech takes on 32nd seeded Maria Bouzkova for a place in the last eight. Whoever wins this will be facing either the fourth seed Jessica Pegula or unseeded Lesia Tsurenko in the quarter finals. Vondrousova has now reached the fourth round in all of the Grand Slam events.  Vondrousova began this grass court tournament ranked 42nd in the world but is up to 30th in the live rankings. That's still well below her career high 14th achieved four years ago after reaching the French Open final. Before this year, Vondrousova had only won one match in four visits to Wimbledon. Before this tournament she played the Berlin grass court tournament and lost to Maria Sakkari in the last eight. This year at Wimbledon has gone much better for her though with three wins and no sets dropped. The last round saw her knock out 20th seeded Donna Vekic for the loss of just six games, five of which came in the second set. 

This is the fourth time that Marie Bouzkova has faced Marketa Vondrousova and she trails 2-1. The most recent meeting was at Indian Wells this year with Vondrousova winning and only dropping two games. The one win for Bouzkova came in Perth six years ago. Four times in three matches she's lost a set 6-1 to Vondrousova. Bouzkova began this tournament ranked 33rd in the world and is 27th in the live rankings. just below her career high of 24th.  A win here will take the Czech into her second consecutive Wimbledon quarter final. Last year she led Ons Jabeur in the last eight but ended up droppiing the next two. The 24-year-old had lost 16 of her 27 WTA Tour matches this year before arriving at Wimbledon. Both of her grass court warm-up matches were lost making it four defeats in a row. Her form has improved at Wimbledon though with three wins and only one set lost. That was the middle set in round three where she beat the fifth seeded Caroline Garcia. This should be a tight match but we go for Vondrousova to beat the 32nd seed.
