The second half of 2018 has belonged to Novak Djokovic and he's won his last three tournaments. His return to injury started steadily during the clay season and went into overdrive when returning to grass in England. He reached the final at Queens (losing to Cilic) but then won Wimbledon. His last three tournaments have seen him win the Cincinatti Masters, US Open and most recently the Shanghai Masters. After two straight sets wins in Paris, he's won his last 20 in a row and had seven successive straight-set victories. He's won this title four times and is the only man to retain the trophy. His only loss here since 2012 was two years ago, when he lost to Cilic.

Marin Cilic may have won two of his last three matches against Djokovic but before that he'd lost their first 14 meetings. Their most recent match saw Djokovic beat him in Cincinatti in three sets. He's currently ranked seventh in the world and had two straight-set wins to get to this quarter-final. His third round opponent was ninth seed Gregor Dimitrov who he beat 7-5 6-4. Recent form has seen Cilic lose in the last 32 in both Tokyo and Shanghai, being beaten on both occasions by players ranked outside the top 45, not the best of preparation for a match against Djokovic. He did win the Queens tournament, beating Djokovic in the final and at the start of the year reached the final of the Australian Open losing to Roger Federer. That was 10 months ago though and his form isn't that good at present though he seems able to raise his game when up against Djokovic. Go for Djokovic to win this in a match that has over 20.5 games.
