We're already guaranteed a first time Grand Slam finalist from the bottom half of the women's singles draw. If Marie Bouzkova can defeat third seeded Ons Jabeur, then we know there will be an unseeded player in the final. The winner of this match takes on either Jule Neimeier or Tatyana Maria in the semi-final. Bouzkova is world ranked 66th and this is the furthest she's ever reached at Wimbledon. Her previous best was just the second round three years ago. Bouzkova didn't have a great grass court warm-up for Wimbledon. The one event she did play saw her beaten in three sets (first set won) by the American Shelby Rogers in the Eastbourne tournament. That form has been left a long way behind with this run to the last eight at Wimbledon. Wins have come against the seventh seed Danielle Collins but she had to come from a set down. It was easier in round two with just three games lost when defeating Ann Li. More success came when beating the 28th seeded Alison Riske, with just five games lost. The fourth round was a bit tougher but she still beat Garcia in straight sets.

Ons Jabeur will provide Bouzkova with a much stiffer task. The Tunisian is now the world number two but a street behind Iga Swiatek who lost in this tournament on Saturday. That left Jabeur as the highest remaining seed in the tournament and the only one in the bottom half of the draw. This year has seen her win tournaments in Madrid and on grass, the German Open. Jabeur has proved herself to be difficult to beat on all surfaces, not just clay. 2021 saw her get to the quarter finals at Wimbledon, now she bids to go one step further. The third seed has beaten Mirjam Bjorklund, Katarzyna Kawa and Diane Parry and only 13 games were lost in those three matches. Round four was a bit harder against the 24th seeded Elise Mertens, but she still won in straight sets. Go for her to beat Bouzkova and have a side bet on her doing without dropping a set.
