Sixth seed Camila Osorio begins her outdoor hard court Singapore Open campaign. To reach round two, Osorio must defeat unseeded Bernarda Pera with the winner facing either qualifier Dominika Salkova or unseeded Erika Andreeva. Here's our first round match prediction.

Camila Osorio is 55th in the live rankings and lost in the second round of the Australian Open to Ons Jabeur. The Colombian has only played two tournaments this year. The other was in Hobart where the second round was reached. 

Osorio will hope for a return to the form that saw her get to the last four of the Guadalajara Open in September 2024 and has been the losing finalist in two WTA hard court tournaments.

Bernarda Pera is facing Osorio for only the second time. They met at Indian Wells last year with Pera winning that outdoor hard court match in three sets. The American is 77th in the live rankings and lost in straight sets in the first round of the Australian Open to Tatjana Maria.

That was her third successive loss this year. That's disappointing after reaching the last eight in Auckland, her third straight quarter-final.. No top 100 players were beaten to reach that stage. We go for over 20.5 games to be played in this match.
