Marcos Giron vs Miomir Kecmanovic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Delray Beach Open

The Delray Beach Open enters the quarter final stage where in one of the matches, fourth seed Miomir Kecmanovic and unseeded Marcos Giron meet for the second time in their careers on Friday. Progressing from this round will set up a potential semifinal showdown with either second-seed Tommy Paul or the unseeded Radu Albot. Giron won the first meeting between the two 2-1 at Indian Wells in 2019 and has looked in fine form in Florida where he is yet to drop a set in two matches played. He beat eighth seed and compatriot Ben Shelton 6-4, 6-4 in the first round, taking just one hour and seven minutes to earn the win. In the second round, a 6-3, 6-3 win over the qualifier Matija Pecotic allowed him to qualify for his first quarterfinal in the 250 tournament. Giron started the week ranked 55th in the world but after reaching his third quarterfinal of the season, has moved up one place to 54th on the live ranking and could move further up and into the top 50, where he can tie his career-high record of 49, with a win against Kecmanovic.

Miomir Kecmanovic is making his debut in Delray and defeated the qualifier, Nuno Borges in straight sets of 6-3, 7-5 in the second round. This season has seen the Serbian number two struggle to string up successive wins and has only done so once so far, on his route to the quarterfinals in Adelaide 2. His showing in Adelaide led to the 23-year-old moving to a new career high of 27th in the world which enabled him to be seeded for the Australian Open. Unfortunately, though, his lack of consistency would see him lose in the first round in Melbourne to the qualifier Nicolas Jarry. Before arriving in Florida, Kecmanovic was defeated in his first match at the Dallas Open where he started the tournament seeded fourth. He has dropped right back out of the top 30 but can move to 31st with a win on Friday.
