Fifth seed Jiri Lehecka’s impressive Antwerp debut continues against eighth seed Marcos Giron in the semi-finals. The winner of this fourth meeting between them will play Hugo Gaston or Roberto Bautista Agut in the final. Below is our prediction of this match.

Giron has won seven of eight matches on indoor hard court and once finished second. A champion in Newport during the grass campaign, he is now two wins away from a second career tour title.

The American has won all his three rounds in Antwerp in straight sets. To advance here, he overcame the challenge of crowd favourite Zizou Bergs by the loss of four games.

Currently placed 47th in the ATP, Giron defeated Lehecka on clay at last year’s French Open.

Jiri Lehecka has the upper hand in this matchup as he has won twice in three meetings. One of his wins came on an indoor hard court in the qualifying rounds of the Paris Masters in 2022.

This advantage will give him confidence he can reach the final on his debut appearance. The Czech star has also won all his matches in Antwerp without dropping a set.

To make it to his third semi-final of the season, Lehecka defeated second seed Stefanos Tsitipas. The win improved his record to 27-15 and moved him three places to 30th in the live ranking.

Now he is two wins away from his second career title success. Lehecka won his first tour title at the start of the season in Adelaide.
