Holger Rune is the second seed in the clay court Hamburg Open. He takes on qualifier Marco Trungelliti in the second round which is the last 16 of this tournament. Next up for the winner will be either fifth seed Arthur Fils or unseeded Laslo Djere.

Rune is ranked 17th in the world but was as high as fourth last August. He can climb a place to 16th if winning this match. Rune already holds that place in the ATP Live Race. He received a bye into the second round of this tournament.

He reached the last 16 at Wimbledon and also got to that stage at Roland Garros this year. On clay this year, he's been in the last eight in Monte Carlo and went a round further in Munich. Back in Germany, he'll want another deep run this week.

Marco Trungelliti is down at 151st in the latest rankings. He had to qualify to get into the main draw and had a struggle in his first match. The Argentinian lost the first set to Marko Topo but then won the next two sets for the loss of three games, all in the second set.

It was easier in the final qualifying round with a straight sets win over Aziz Dougaz. His good form continued in round one with a win over unseeded Sebastian Ofner. He won the first set 6-1 and was 4-3 up in the second when Ofner retired and is now 135th in the live rankings. We tip Rune to win this in straight sets.
