Magdalena Frech vs Varvara Gracheva Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Miami

It's already been a big week for Varvara Gracheva. Her run to this third round match at the Miami Open against Magdalena Frech has taken her into the top 50 for the first time. Gracheva began this tournament in a career high 54th. That meant she had to qualify for this WTA 1000 event and the top seed  reached the main draw in Miami for the first time with two straight sets victories. Two tie-breaks were required in those matches. The first round saw the recent ATX Open finalist beat Maryna Zanevska for the loss of six games. Then in round two she defeated the fourth seeded Ons Jabeur 6-2 6-2. 

Now Gracheva takes on unseeded Magdalena Frech who has already lost once in this tournament. The world number 105 from Poland was beaten by Nao Hibino in her final qualifier. With several players withdrawing, Frech was put into the main draw as a lucky loser. That's the second tournament in a row she's got into the main draw as a lucky loser. The Pole didn't just get put in to the first round but straight into round two. There she was in trouble again as the first set was lost to wild card Erika Andreeva. However, the Pole recovered well and only lost two games in the next couple of sets. That win has taken her back into the top 100. This looks like the end of the road for her and Gracheva can get the win to set up a fourth round match against either 15th seeded Petra Kvitova or 22nd seed Donna Vekic.
