Magdalena Frech vs Jessica Pegula Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Stuttgart Open

Jessica Pegula has made an unbeaten start to this year's clay court season. The third seed won the Charleston Open earlier this month, her first WTA Tour title on clay. Now she takes on unseeded Magdalena Frech in round two of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Here's our match prediction.

Before her win this month, the 31-year-old had only reached one clay court final.  The American only played six matches on this surface last year with four wins and two losses.

Pegula received a bye in the first round and a win here will take her into a quarter-final against either sixth seed Mirra Andreeva or unseeded Ekaterina Alexandrova. This is her third match against Frech. The other two were both won including one on clay in Madrid two years ago.

Frech failed to win a  set in either of those two matches. The Pole is 28th in the latest rankings but has only won four of her 13 matches this year. She'd lost five matches in a row before beating Sam Errani in the first round of this tournament in Stuttgart.

It was a struggle to get the win with a final set being needed and it took just over three hours to secure the victory.

We tip Pegula to win this in straight sets.
