Madison Keys is now just two wins away from a second career title in Adelaide. The American triumphed here during her debut campaign in 2022.

This is her second appearance in Southern Australia where she is now unbeaten in eight matches. Keys, who has compiled a 5-1 record, defeated third seed Daria Kasatkina in straight sets in the quarter-finals.

The 29-year-old has a 4-1 record against Samsonova. Advanc9ng to this round has moved Keys up to 17th in the live ranking.

Liudmila Samsonova has been on the receiving end plenty of times in her matchups with Keys. She grabbed her first win in this fixture last year in Madrid to end a three-match losing run to the American.

In their very next battle, however, she was again on the losing end. As she is having a strong start to the year, she will be confident of earning her way to a ninth tour final.

Samsonova has won three of her four fixtures this season and has returned to the WTA top-20. The Russian saw off second seed Emma Navarro 2-0 in the quarter-finals.
