Madison Keys vs Karolina Muchova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Eastbourne International

Fourth seed Madison Keys will take on the unseeded Karolina Muchova in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Eastbourne International. The winner will progress to the semi-finals where a showdown with either Leylah Fernandez, Ashlyn Kruger, Harriet Dart or Sofia Kenin will await.

Madison Keys got the better of the qualifier Anhelina Kalinina to begin her title defence. She won their second-round matchup in straight sets. This was her eighth victory in her last 10 outings, improving her record to 17-6.

Keys, who had a belated start to the year due to injury, is making her season debut on grass. She has won one title in Strasbourg and is seeking a second crown. Keys hasn’t won multiple tour titles since 2019.

This is the same year she won her only other encounter with Muchova. The two battled in the first round in Beijing with Keys claiming a straight-set victory. Despite the victory, the American has dropped one place to 13th in the live ranking.

Karolina Muchova made her season debut in Eastbourne. The Czech former world number eight has been out since last September due to a wrist issue that needed to be operated on. Before arriving at Devonshire Park, Muchova’s last appearance was at Flushing Meadows where she made a semi-final run.

She seems to have lost no step, picking up from where she had left off. In the first round, however, she did have a bit of luck with her opponent being forced to retire early.

This wasn’t the case in the second round but she did manage a quick victory nonetheless. Muchova defeated the qualifier Magda Linette by the loss of five games to book this showdown with Keys. This moved up two places to 33rd in the live ranking. Another win will move her right back into the WTA top 30.
