Madison Keys vs Jessica Pegula Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA US Open

An all-American showdown is in the offing at the US Open when Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys meet in the fourth round. The winner will next face either ninth seed Marketa Vondrousova or the qualifier Peyton Stearns. Madison Keys, seeded 17th, defeated 14th seed Liudmila Samsonova in three sets to book a place in this round. The American was forced to come from a set down to win and keep her quest for another finals appearance on track. Keys finished as runner-up here in 2017 and was a semifinalist the year after. She has however made it to this round only once since then. Keys is having a strong campaign and has compiled a 31-11 record. She has won 17 of her total victories on hard court where she has also lost seven times. The highlight of her campaign however came on grass in Eastbourne where the only silverware of her season was won. Keys has earned 110 ranking points at Flushing Meadows but is yet to budge from her world number 17 ranking.

Third seed Jessica Pegula has dropped down one spot to fourth in the live ranking after losing 190 points. This will however do little to dampen her spirits as she targets back-to-back quarterfinals appearances here. Pegula recorded her best-ever finish here last season as she made it through to the last eight. It was also the first time that she had made it to the second week of competition. To advance to this round, she defeated 26th seed and former semifinalist Elina Svitolina in three sets. It was her first match in which she had dropped a set after winning her first two rounds in straights. Pegula is in red-hot form and has won nine of her last 10 fixtures. This run started in Montreal where she emerged as champion to claim her first title of the season. Pegula has compiled a 46-14 record and has won 32 of the 40 matches she has played on hard court. She defeated Keys on the surface in their only encounter to date last October in San Diego.
