The 2022 champions Lyon welcome Cardiff Rugby to the Stade de Gerland in Saturday’s Round One Challenge Cup match. Below we have a prediction for this clash.

Lyon are not in great shape heading into the fixture, as they sit second. Their torrid run of form has seen the hosts lose their last five games, leaving them in danger of relegation.

Their most recent defeat came at the hands of Section Paloise with Joe Simmonds bagging 22 points in the 29-15 loss. Following a run of 15 straight victories at the Stade de Gerland their fortress has recently been breached.
