The opening match of Night 8 of the 2025 Premier League Darts season kicks off with Luke Littler taking on Stephen Bunting on Thursday evening. The Nuke leads the league standings after seven rounds, while Bullet is at the bottom of the table. Let’s get into the match prediction.

Luke Littler returned to the summit of the Premier League standings last week when he clinched his third night victory, beating Michael van Gerwen 6-4 in the final. 

The Nuke produced 22 of the 52 180s on the night and averaged over 100 in all three matches. In the final, he averaged an excellent 112.50 against MVA and also recorded the only nine-dart finish of the evening. 

Littler has now won seven of his last 10 matches across all competitions and holds a six-point lead over Luke Humphries in the standings, heading to the halfway point of the competition.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Premier League season has not gone as Stephen Bunting would have hoped, as he has yet to earn his first point in the competition with seven rounds already complete. 

Last week, Bullet was beaten by Chris Dobey in the first round 6-2, in a match that was widely considered to be his best chance of claiming a first-round victory. 

Bunting will be up against it here, facing an in-form Littler, though he has managed to get the better of the teenage superstar in two of their five previous meetings.
