12 months ago Luke Littler began the PDC Premier League after reaching the World Championship final. This week sees him taking on Michael van Gerwen in a rematch of the match that saw him become PDC World Darts Champion. Here's our match prediction.
This is week one of the Premier League and we're at the SSE Arena in Belfast. Littler is the defending champion in this tournament and his match against van Gerwen is in the quarter-finals. The winner takes on either Luke Humphries or Nathan Aspinall in the semi-final. In the other half of the draw are Rob Cross, Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price and Chris Dobey with all the matches being played on one crazy night in Northern Ireland.
Littler will be wanting to repeat his win at Ally Pally and the two players have played each other since then. The world champion won in the Dutch Masters, winning the match by six legs to th three.
.Van Gerwen has won the Premier League on seven occasions. That included a run of four straight titles between 2016 and 2019. These two players met several times in last year's Premier League and were tied 4-4.
