The opening round on Night 5 in the 2025 Premier League Darts season at the Brighton Centre will see Luke Littler take on Chris Dobey on Thursday. The Nuke is in second place in the league standings, while Hollywood is seventh. Let’s get into the match prediction!
Luke Littler reached his second final of the Premier League season last week, but he was unable to overcome world number one Luke Humphries, losing the match 6-4.
However, the Nuke followed up that performance with a sensational showing at the UK Open over the weekend, where he romped to the title, thumping James Wade 11-2 in the final.
Littler is now riding a six-match win streak and has only suffered three defeats in his last 15 matches - two of which were to Gerwyn Price before last week's loss to Humphries.
Meanwhile, after a remarkable opening night run to the final, Chris Dobey has experienced a notable drop-off, having failed to win any of his next three matches in the Premier League.
Hollywood was beaten 6-5 by Nathan Aspinall last week and was eliminated from the UK Open in his second match by Dimitri van den Bergh in a close-fought 10-9 defeat.
Dobey has now lost four of his last five matches across all competitions, though he did edge Littler 6-5 in their last meeting in the Players Championship back in October.
