Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans Prediction & Betting Tips -
by Devesh Jaganath in Indian Premier League Predictions
Match 21 in the 2024 Indian Premier League will see the Lucknow Super Giants taking on the Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The hosts are currently in fourth place in the league standings, while the visitors are sixth. The Super Giants are looking to maintain their 100% record of reaching the playoffs in every season since joining the IPL in 2022. So far, they look on course to achieve that feat, currently holding down the final playoff spot with four points from their first three games. The Super Giants bounced back from an opening-round loss to the Rajasthan Royals with back-to-back wins, beating the Punjab Kings by 21 runs before defending 181/5 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday. That leaves them as one of four teams tied on four points, though they do have a positive net run rate of +0.483. Nicolas Pooran (146) and Quinton de Kock (139) have been the key contributors with the bat for LSG, currently ranked eighth and ninth in the race for the orange cap. Youngster Mayank Yadav has been electric with the ball and has six wickets to his name.
While LSG have been impressive since entering the IPL competition, it pales in comparison to what the Gujarat Titans have achieved. They defied the odds to lift the trophy in their first year of competition and were bitterly unlucky to lose to the Chennai Super Kings in the final last year via the DLS method. GT are also one of the four teams that are on four points but are at the bottom of that pile due to their net run rate, which is currently at -0.580. They have also played a game more than their opponents. The Titans’ wins came over the Mumbai Indians and the Sunrisers Hyderabad, while they were no match for the Super Kings, losing by 63 runs. Last time out, they lost a nail-biter against the Punjab Kings in a match that came down to the penultimate ball. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan are both in the top five run-scorers in the tournament while Mohit Sharma currently wears the purple cap. GT have never lost to LSG but are the underdogs in this match.

Our Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans Prediction
While the Gujarat Titans have been the dominant side in this contest over the last couple of years, LSG have made the better start to the tournament and will be out for revenge against the side they have not beaten before. We’re steering clear of the Win market here. Instead, we look to last year’s orange cap winner to land us a winner. Gill is coming into this match off the back of an 89* performance and will need to play a big role here to ensure his side stays up with the chasing pack. Our Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans prediction: Shubman Gill to score over 31.5 runs.
