Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans Prediction & Betting Tips - Indian Premier League
by Devesh Jaganath in Cricket Predictions
As most sides reach the halfway point of their group matches in the Indian Premier League 2023, match 30 of 70 will see the Lucknow Super Giants take on the defending champions, the Gujarat Titans, at Ekana Sports City on Saturday. The Super Giants will be right up for this one after beating the Rajasthan Royals in their last match, which reeled in the tournament leaders, with both sides now on eight points each after the first six matches, separated only by net run rate. Kyle Myers continued to impress with the bat, top-scoring with 51 runs in 42 balls on a pitch that proved difficult to score freely on. Posting a total of just 154/7, LSG had to be very good with the ball and did just that with Avesh Khan taking 3/25, supported by Marcus Stoinis, who chipped in with 2/28 to navigate their side to a 10-run victory. The major dilemma for LSG remains around how to include Quintin De Kock into the side, with Nicolas Pooran behind the stumps and Myers doing well at the top of the order. Coming up against a Giants side with plenty of talent with the bat, LSG may need the additional firepower that the South African left-hander brings.
The reigning champions, like their opponents, played the Royals in their last match; however, they were unable to contain their opponents on that day, losing the match by three wickets and four balls to spare. The top-order duo of David Warner and Shubman Gill were on song yet again for the Titans, scoring 46 and 45 runs, respectively, contributing the lion’s share of the 177/7 target their side posted. Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami both tried hard with the ball, taking five wickets for just 49 runs between them, but weren’t supported as the Royals chased down the total in the final over. The Titans are now fourth in the IPL standings, just two points behind the leaders, and with a game in hand. They also have a fairly good run rate, and if they were to manage a strong win in this one, it could see them move into the top two for the moment.

Our Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans Prediction
There really is very little to choose between these sides, and it shows on the bookmakers’ odds, with both sides priced at 1.9 to come away with the win. Choosing an outright winner may prove too risky here, so we look to individual player props for some value. The pitch here at Ekana Sports City clearly favoured the bowlers in the last match just three days ago, and there’s little reason to expect that to change in this one. Rashid Khan earned the coveted purple cap for a few days thanks to his consistency with the new ball, and we fancy him to reclaim it in this one. Our Lucknow Super Giants v Gujarat Titans prediction is for Rashid Khan to take over 1.5 wickets.
