Lucia Bronzetti vs Grace Min Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Palermo Open

Lucia Bronzetti caused a shock in the first round of the Palermo Open. The world number 190 knocked out fifth seeded Viktoriya Tomova for the loss of just five games. Now she bids to reach the last eight when taking on unseeded Grace Min. The winner of this match will face either third seed (and former champion) Jil Tiechmann or EG Ruse. Bronzetti ended last year ranked 338th but is up to 184th in the live rankings, her best ever position. Most of her year has been on the ITF circuit where she won a tournament held in Le Havre in March. Another final was reached in Switzerland the following month and in Sweden in June. Her success on the ITF circuit continued earlier this month when getting to the final in Torino. Last week saw her in Lausanne for a WTA 250 tournament and Bronzetti got to the last eight losing to Tamara Zidansek, after previously beating Anna Blinkova.

Grace Min is ranked 166th but up to 159th after her first round win over Lara Arruabarrena in straight sets. Six years ago, the American reached her highest ever ranking of 97th but ended 2020 in 247th position. This year has seen her on both the ITF and WTA circuits. An ITF final in Georgia, USA, was reached at the end of January. It's been an inconsistent year since then but she did get to the last eight of the Prague Open last week.  Bronzetti did well to win her first round match and was impressive in Lausanne last week, back her to get the win here.
