Los Angeles Rams go into this Monday night game with a season record of 5-4 which has them third in NFC West. They host the Chicago Bears who are third in the NFC North having won four of their nine games played this season. Overall in the NFC, the Rams are seventh, one place adrift of the final wild card position with their opponents are in tenth place. The Rams have been blowing hot and cold this season. They began with three wins in a row, two of them on the road. Then their form slumped with a trio of defeats including a 55-40 loss to Tampa Bay. They bounced back to form with two wins over Atalanta and Cincinnati with a combined winning margin of 41 points. Last week they narrowly lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers by five points.

Chicago Bears are aiming to reach the play-offs for the second year in a row. However, they have lost their last eight play-off matches. This season they are 4-5 for the season and behind both Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings in NFC North. They lost their opening game to Green Bay but then won their next three, including a victory over Minnesota.
