The LA Lakers didn't get off to the best of starts but have picked up of late. They are 4-3 for the season and host the Houston Rockets who are struggling at 1-6. The Lakers are second in the Western Conference Pacific Division and fourth overall. They began the season with two losses to Golden State and Phoenix but got off the mark with a three point win over Memphis. An over time win at San Antonio got them back to 2-2. The inconsistent start continued with a loss to Oklahoma. However, wins against Cleveland and Houston have got them into positive figures for the first time this season. Now they take on Houston at home again, hoping to repeat the win they had on Halloween. That was won by ten points and the Lakers should be able to get another victory.

Houston are fourth in the Western Conference Southwest Division and 13th overall. The Rockets have only had one win this season. It was a convincing one though as they beat Oklahoma at home by 33 points. Their other six games this season have all ended in defeat. The last four have all been lost and by at least ten points, None of their players have managed to score 20 points in the last two games. Back the Lakers to get another win over the Rockets and go them to cover a six point spread.
