The LA Lakers will welcome the Golden State Warriors when they take to the court next in the NBA. Five games separate the two teams in the Western Conference standings, with the Lakers in fifth, having the advantage over their 11th-placed visitors. Below is our prediction for this match.

The Lakers are in excellent form, winning seven times in their last eight games and, as a result, have moved 10 games above .500. J.J. Redick’s men are on a two-match winning run following a dominant 122-97 victory against city rivals, the Clippers. Two of their 29 wins were against the Warriors.

Another success here will see them win this regular season series with a game to spare.

Luka Doncic is still unavailable for selection and will have to wait a bit longer to make his debut.

The Warriors are seeking to return to winning ways after a disappointing loss to the lowly Jazz. Steve Kerr’s men were defeated 131-128 in Utah, suffering their second loss in three outings.

In both defeats, they allowed their opponents at least 130 points.

Golden State arrive for this match with a 25-25 record and have lost 12 of 22 road games. 

Jimmy Butler has joined the Warriors from the Miami Heat in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder and Kyle Anderson. Butler is, however, unlikely to suit up against the Lakers.
