The Los Angeles Lakers can take a huge step towards the Conference Finals when they host the Golden State Warriors for game four of the NBA Playoffs second round. The seventh-seed Lakers are leading the sixth-seed Warriors 2-1 following their dominant 127-97 blowout victory in game three. They’ll now look to go up 3-1 which would put them just one win away from a Conference Finals matchup against either the top-seeded Nuggets or the fourth-seed Phoenix Suns. The oddsmakers have Los Angeles as significant 1.50 favorites to advance to the next round while the Warriors come in as 2.70 underdogs to make the Conference Finals.

The Lakers are on a roll and playing well, peaking at the perfect moment after laboring through much of the regular season. They’ve now won seven straight at the Crypto.com Arena and five of their last seven overall. Key to their success in this postseason run has been Anthony Davis, who has been putting up the kind of performances many have expected from one of the best players in the league on his day. However, consistency has been AD’s problem in recent seasons as he always seems to follow up his big games with underwhelming performances. Davis was stellar in game three, with 25 points, 13 rebounds and a number of key defensive contributions. We’ll have to wait and see which version of Anthony Davis shows up tonight.

The Warriors have been one of the league’s very best home teams this season while also being one of the league’s worst on the road. They’ll have to overcome their road woes if they are to advance in this series as they no longer have home court advantage following the game one loss. Golden State is 5-5 in this playoffs run so far after their seven game series against the Kings. They’ve also not had the best of success against LA this season, winning only two of their seven meetings overall.
