The Los Angeles Lakers (23-18) and Boston Celtics (31-13) will meet at Crypto.com Arena in Friday's NBA cross-conference match. The Lakers are fifth in the Western Conference while the Celtics are second in the Eastern Conference. Here's our match prediction. 

The Los Angeles Lakers did well to bounce back after their away defeat against the Clippers to cruise to a 111-88 blowout home victory over the Washington Wizards on Thursday. 

LeBron James was the standout player in that match as he recorded a triple-double scoring 21 points, had 10 rebounds, and dished out 13 dimes.

The Lakers have won three of their last four matches. This is a significant improvement for a side that had lost three consecutive matches. They've also been impressive at their base as they head into this clash, riding a three-match winning streak. 

The Boston Celtics will be away from the Lakers, given that their recent encounter ended in a 114-105 away defeat in February 2024.

The Celtics come into this match after grounding out a 117-113 overtime away win against the Los Angeles Clippers. This marked their second win on the bounce. 

Joe Mazzulla's men have now won eight of their last 12 outings. On foreign territory, the team has performed much better winning five of their previous seven games, and are currently on a two-match winning streak.
