The battle for the City of Angels hits round two in spring training as the Los Angeles Angels take on the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday. The Angels have been the poor relation in LA for a long time now despite having two generational talents in recent years, they have been unable to make it into the postseason since 2014 and just that one time in the last 14 seasons. Despite losing one of those two superstars, they have had a successful spring so far, although carrying that into a season where two of the four teams in their division were the ALCS participants in 2023 is going to be a very different task for them. There are lots of veterans like Miguel Sano, Aaron Hicks and Willie Calhoun, who have moved teams looking for another chance and the Angels could benefit from this.

9-2 is the Dodgers record at this stage and most of their fans will be looking for them to be winning at a similarly insane percentage once the regular season gets underway. Dave Roberts has a .630 winning percentage since he took over as the manager at the start of the 2016 season. That has him in line to be one of the best of all time if he can extend this for another string of seasons which is not going to be easy but this team looks as good as any that he has had in his time there. Their new star signing, Shohei Ohtani did not make it into the game that these teams played earlier in spring training but he could get into this one against the team who first brought him to the majors which would make this a can't miss contest.
