The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Cleveland Guardians face off for the final of a three game series on Sunday in Major League Baseball. After dropping the first game to Cleveland, the Dodgers were able to bounce back in game two with a 7-1 victory with the bats coming alive early to score five runs in the first three innings. Both teams will be looking for the series win in the deciding third game with this being the only meeting between the two teams for the season. Los Angeles has cooled off a bit in recent weeks after their red hot start to the season but are still sitting pretty with a 40-24 record, good for first in the NL West but now holding only a half game lead over the second place Padres. For the Guardians, a recent run of eight wins in their last 10 has seen them move up to second in the AL Central and their 33-28 record now sees them trail the Twins by two games.

Taking the mound for the Dodgers is Andrew Heaney who will make just his third start on the season. After impressing in his first two starts as a Dodger, Heaney was forced to miss nearly two months with shoulder discomfort. The 31-year-old looks set to make his return after completing a three start, nearly 13 inning rehab stint for the Dodgers minor league affiliate. Heaney totaled 10 shutout innings over his two starts back in April for LA, giving up only four hits and striking out a spectacular 16 batters. On the other side, Shane Bieber gets the start for Cleveland with the former Cy Young award winner posting a 3-3 record with a 3.01 ERA so far on the season. Bieber has been consistently putting out good pitching performances over his last six starts, pitching 39 innings during that stretch and only giving up nine total runs.
