The final game on Saturday’s MLB slate sees the NL West leading Dodgers taking on the NL Central second-place Cincinnati Reds. This is the second of a three-game series between these two clubs with the Reds taking game one by a score of 6-5. The loss means that Los Angeles have now lost their last two on the bounce and four of their last five overall. The dip in form has the Dodgers maintaining a three-game lead over the San Francisco Giants and a four-game lead over the Diamondbacks. This game will be played at Dodger Stadium where the hosts have won 30 of their 49 contests so far this year. LA will start with Emmet Sheehan who is 3-1 on the year with a 6.75 ERA. This could be a tough outing for the rookie who gave up eight earned runs and walked five in just three and two-thirds innings in his last start.

The Reds are in a fine run of form at the moment and have closed the gap on the division leading Brewers to just half a game. Cincinnati’s 6-5 win over LA in game one was the seventh win that the team has achieved in the last 10 outings. The Reds have been one of the most consistent performers on the road this season with a .569 winning percentage compared to .518 at home. Taking the mound for the visiting Reds will be Luke Weaver who is 2-2 on the year with a 7.20 ERA. Weaver has been struggling this season with limiting contact. His last outing saw him last four innings, giving up eight hits, three earned runs and striking out only one batter. Cincinnati has an excellent recent record with Weaver on the mound and have won nine of his last 10 starts.
