The LA Clippers will welcome city rivals, the LA Lakers when they take to the court next in the NBA. Only one game separates the two teams in the Western Conference. Below is our prediction for this match.

The Clippers are seeking to return to winning ways after a 115-108 defeat to the Raptors snapped a two-match winning run. This was their second defeat in the last six games and dropped them to seven games above .500.

The Clippers, who’ve won 13 of the last 16 meetings with the Lakers, won the first meetings of the season 116-102 at home.

Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills, acquired recently via trade, could be available to play their first game as Clipper players.

The Lakers will be hugely shorthanded for this trip. This is the team’s first match since a blockbuster trade that sent Anthony Davis to Dallas and Luka Doncic to LA.

Davis was the team’s offensive and defensive focal point and averaged a team-leading 26 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks.

Doncic is an exciting addition, but the guard, who is averaging 27 points and six assists, isn’t fit to play against the Clippers. The Slovenian hasn’t played since Christmas due to a calf issue.

J.J. Redick’s men have however been in terrific form and will hope to have enough momentum to win here. The Lakers have won six of their last seven games and defeated the Knicks 128-112 last time out.
