Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos Prediction & Betting Tips - NFL
by Joseph King | in NFL Predictions
Week six in the NFL wraps up with this Monday Night Football clash between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos at SoFi Stadium in downtown LA. The Chargers will be looking to keep their winning run going as they try to make it three victories on the bounce as they continue to battle back from a slow start to the 2022/23 season. Los Angeles now sits on a 3-2 record after their close 30-28 win over the Browns in their last outing. The winning run has moved the Chargers to within one game of the division leading 4-1 Chiefs. On the other side, the Broncos will be desperate for a win to get back to .500 as they attempt to turn their season around. Denver lost 12-9 to the Colts in overtime in one of the worst Thursday night games in recent memory. The Broncos sit 2-3 on the season and have lost their last two games.

Los Angeles Chargers - Denver Broncos: Form Analysis
Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has to start playing better if the Broncos are to live up to their lofty pre season expectations. The nine-time Pro Bowler has thrown for just 1,253 yards so far this season with only four touchdowns and three interceptions. Wilson threw two interceptions and zero touchdowns in the loss to the Colts, posting a season-low 54.3 quarterback rating. On the other end, Justin Herbert has continued to produce at an extremely high level as the third-year quarterback looks to throw his name into the hat of potential MVP candidates. Herbert has thrown for 568 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions in his last two games.

Los Angeles Chargers & Denver Broncos Squad Analysis
The Chargers recovered from an earlier injury bug that threatened to derail their season while it seems to have now passed to the Broncos. Denver will be without running back Javonte Wililams and linebacker Josey Jewell for this one, as well as no fewer than six players who remain questionable for Monday’s game. For a team already struggled with their performance on the field, losing key pieces is the last thing this team will have wanted at this crucial stage of the season.
Los Angeles Chargers - Denver Broncos Key Points
- Denver’s offense continues to struggle, especially on third down, where they rank 30th with a 30.56% conversion rate.
- Denver ranks dead last in the league in red zone percentage with an anemic 21.43% of their trips ending in a touchdown.
- The Chargers look to have gotten their running game back on track in the win against Cleveland last week, rushing for a total of 238 yards after previously ranking last in yards per rush.
- The Chargers rank third in the league in passing yards at 1,478 and have the third best interception rate with only 1% of their throws resulting in a pick.

Our Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos Prediction
We’re going to back the LA Chargers to win this game and cover the -4.5 spread. Denver has looked awful in recent weeks as their big money offseason move for quarterback Russell Wilson has not panned out as they had expected so far. The Chargers look to be finding their groove after losing two of their first three and have been predictably excellent through the air. If they can get the same kind of production on the ground as they did against the Browns last week then it will be almost impossible to contain this offense. Back quarterback Justin Herbert to have another big game and win this one comfortably.
