Lorenzo Musetti vs Taylor Fritz Prediction & Betting Tips - Olympic Tournament

11th seed Lorenzo Musetti takes on seventh-seeded Taylor Fritz in round three of the Paris Olympics. The Italian has continued his good run of form in recent weeks. This looks tough though, read our prediction of this intriguing match.

The winner of this match goes into the last 16 where they'll face either third seed and defending Olympic champion Alexander Zverev or unseeded Alexei Popyrin. Musetti has been regularly going deep in recent tournaments.

The Italian's last four tournaments have seen him get to at least the semi-final. The most recent of those was on clay in Umag last weekend where he lost in the final. He didn't have much time to get to Paris and there is the fear that all these matches are going to catch up on him soon.

The 22-year-old has had wins over Gael Monfils and Mariano Navone. Both opponents were unseeded and he won the matches without dropping a set. This is his fifth match against Fritz and the first four have been shared.

Two of those matches were  played this year. Musetti beat Fritz in straight sets on the clay of Monte Carlo but Fritz beat him in five sets at Wimbledon. Both of the wins Fritz has had over Musetti were at that grand Slam.

Taylor Fritz is seeded seventh and has had a good year on clay in 2024. The American was the runner-up in Munich, got to the last eight in Rome and the fourth round at Roland Garros. He's in ninth position in the Live ATP Race.

The American has faced two tough opponents so far. He beat Alexander Bublik in round one without dropping a set. He then had to go to a decider to get past Britain's Jack Draper. We go for three sets to be played in this match.
