Novak Djokovic bids to reach his tenth Wimbledon final. He takes on in Friday’s semi-final. The second seed had injury problems ahead of this tournament but they haven’t resurfaced during this grass court Grand Slam. In fact, it was his scheduled quarter-final opponent who had the fitness concerns.

Alex de Minaur withdrew from their match and that has given Djokovic a good break before this match. He’s dropped two sets on his way to this semi-final but won his last match against Holger Rune in straight sets. Djokovic has only lost in the last four at Wimbledon on two occasions, the last being in 2012.

25th seed Lorenzo Musetti is through to his first Grand Slam semi-final. His previous best was a couple of fourth round appearances at Roland Garros. He’d never previously made it past round three at Wimbledon. However, his form on grass this year has been impressive and this is his third semi-final of the year.

He previously reached the last four in Stuttgart and then made it to the final at Queen’s Club. Musetti has lost a set in all of his five matches on the way to this semi-final. Twice he’s had to go to a final set, including Wednesday’s match against Taylor Fritz. He’s up to 16th in the live rankings and will rise two places if winning this match.

Musetti has only won one of his six previous matches against Djokovic but this is their first match on grass. We go for Djokovic to win the match but both players to win a set.
