Lorenzo Musetti vs Juncheng Shang Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Chengdu Open

Top seed Lorenzo Musetti bids to win his third ATP Tour title of the year. He takes on unseeded Juncheng Shang in the final of the Chengdu Open which is being played on a hard court. Here's our match prediction.

Juncheng Shang is in his first ATP Tour final and has reached this stage for the loss of only one set. That came in his second round win over the eighth seed Roman Safiullin. He did well to win that after losing the first set.

Other wins this week have come against Kei Nishikori, second seed Alexander Bublik and in the semi-finals, Jannick Hanfmann. He's now up to a new career-high of 53rd and winning the title will take him up another place.

In the Live ATP Race, the 19-year-old is in 47th place. He's previously reached two other ATP Tour hard court semi-finals this year and has finally made it into a title decider.

Lorenzo Musetti is in his third ATP Tour final of the year, the other two being reached on clay and grass. He's won one previous hard court title and that was in Napoli two years ago. He's up to 18th in the live rankings and will go 17th with a win.

The summer saw Musetti in top form with at least the semi-final reached in five successive tournaments and won a bronze medal in the Paris Olympics. That form was shown on other surfaces though but he's finally come good on hard courts.

He's had wins over unseeded Christopher O'Connell (after losing the first set) and again needed a final set when beating fifth seed Adrian Mannarino. It was a smoother win in the last four as he defeated qualifier Alibek Kachmazov in straight sets.
