Seventh seed Holger Rune has a great chance to reach the fourth round at Indian Wells for the first time. He takes on the 26th seeded Lorenzo Musetti with the winner going into the last 16. The opponent in the next round of this outdoor hard court tournament will be either 12th seed Taylor Fritz or 19th seeded Sebastian Baez. Rune has had a long wait to get his campaign in this Masters 1000 tournament underway. He was given a bye in round two and then a walkover against Milos Raonic in the last 64. Rune is in good form with a run to the semi-finals in Acapulco in his last tournament. Before that he'd got to the final in Brisbane and the semi-finals in Montpellier.

Lorenzo Musetti is up to 24th in the live rankings after he beat Denis Shapovalov in the second round. It took him three sets to get through though with the middle one being lost. He's only reached one quarter final this year and that was in Adelaide in January. He had lost four matches in a row before beating Shapovalov in the last round. This is the first time that Musetti has made it past the second round at Indian Wells. He's only played Rune once before and that was last year. Rune got the win but it was played on grass. We tip Rune to get a straight sets win in this match.
