Lorenzo Musetti vs Holger Rune Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Finals

World number six, Holger Rune, will take on 16th-ranked Lorenzo Musetti in the quarter-final of the Queen’s Club Championships on Friday. This is the first time that these two will play each other, and the winner will go on to face either Alex de Minaur or Adrian Mannarino in the next round. Rune’s opening match of the tournament was a tricky one as Maxmime Cressey proved to be a worthy opponent, pushing Rune to a tiebreak in both sets. But the Dane rose to the challenge and got the job done in the end. He looked much more comfortable against Ryan Peniston in the second round, and while he did face two break points, he managed to save both and overcome the Brit in under two hours. He has a very good record of 32-11 for the year, but the grass has never been a favoured surface for Rune. In fact, his wins in the opening rounds are the only ones he’s earned in the last four years. Will he be able to manage a title charge in his first grass tournament of the year? 

Musetti will be featuring in his second consecutive grass-court quarter-final for the year after bowing out at the same stage in Stuttgart last week. He managed a fairly straightforward win over Jan Choinski in the opening round here in London, but his second match against Ben Shelton proved to be a test. The American clinched the second set by breaking Musetti early on, but the Italian regained his rhythm in the third set and powered away to end the contest in just over two hours. It is worth mentioning that he had as many as ten break-point opportunities in the match but squandered eight. Like his opponent, Musetti had never won on the grass before this year, but he is now holding a record of 4-1 on the surface and will be confident that he can cause the Dane a few difficulties in this one.
