25th seed Lorenzo Musetti is in the fourth round at Wimbledon for the first time. For a place in the last eight, he takes on lucky loser Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard on Monday. Whoever wins will take on either fourth seed Alexander Zverev or 13th-seeded Taylor Fritz in the quarter-finals.

Musetti had a previous best of a third round appearance at Wimbledon. He's having an impressive grass court season with a semi-final in Stuttgart and runner-up spot at Queen's Club.  Musetti is up to 23rd in the live rankings but that's still eight places below the career high he achieved in 2023.

At Wimbledon this year, he's had wins over Constant Lestienne (in four sets), Luciano Darderi (needing to win the final two sets) and in round three, Francesco Comesana in four sets. He leads Perricard 1-0 in previous meetings.

That was an important match as it was played on grass in Stuttgart this year. Perricard lost the match in straight sets, but both went to a tie-break. The Frenchman was a career-high 58th in the latest list but is now 44th in the live list and can move up to 38th if winning this match.

It's an unexpected bonus because Perricard lost in the third qualifying round of this tournament to Maxime Janvier but was then reinstated as a lucky loser. This is his first time at Wimbledon, and he'd never won a main draw match in a Grand Slam until this tournament.

He's had wins over 20th seed Sebastian Korda (needing five sets), Yoshihito Nishioka and in round three, Emil Ruusuvouri in four sets. Between them these two players have been involved in nine tie-breaks in the main draw. We tip Musetti to win this match.
