Lorenzo Musetti vs Cameron Norrie Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP French Open

Cameron Norrie, seeded 14th will be up against 17th seed Lorenzo Musetti in the third round of the French Open. This Friday game will see the winner advance to play Carlos Alcaraz or Denis Shapovalov in the fourth round. Musetti started the week ranked 18th in the ATP but he is now up one place – a new career high. The Italian has been superb in Paris and is yet to drop a set. His second-round victory over Alexander Shevchenko was particularly impressive as he relinquished only four games in the three sets. Musetti’s best-ever result here is a fourth-round finish and in his form in this season’s competition, he will target surpassing this. Musetti and Norrie played each other for the first time earlier this season in Barcelona, Musetti winning in three sets.

Cameron Norrie has never advanced past the third round at the French Open. He has lost in this round in the last two editions. Norrie will hope his form on clay this season enables him to overcome this hurdle. The Brit has won 27 of the 37 matches he has played with 16 of those victories coming on clay. Two of the three finals he has so far played in 2023 have come on clay. He won in Rio by upsetting world number one Carlos Alcaraz. After batting to win a five-set thriller against Benoit Paire in the first round, Norrie overwhelmed Lucas Pouille 3-0 in the second round. He is currently ranked 13th in the ATP.
