Liudmila Samsonova vs Katerina Siniakova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA National Bank Open

15th seed Liudmila Samsonova looks to continue her good run of form. The Russian faces unseeded Katerina Siniaakova in the first round of the National Bank Open. The scheduled opponents in round two are either Marta Kostyuk (who Samsonova beat last week) or  Qinwen Zheng. Samsonova begins this outdoor hard court WTA 1000 tournament in Montreal ranked 18th. Last week saw her lose in the last four in Washingtonl, a tournament she won last year. Revenge will be on her mind here as Siniakova beat her in Bad Homburg in June, though that was played on grass. That's their only previous meeting. On hard courts this year, Samsonova has reached the final in Abu Dhabi going down in three sets to Belinda Bencic after winning the first set 6-1. 

Katerina Siniakova is the top doubles player in the world but only 37th in the singles ranks. The Czech has won one singles title this year, that was the Bad Homburg grass court event where she defeated Samsonova. On hard courts, the last four was reached in Merida in February but no top 50 ranked players were beaten that week. That's her only time past the last 16 of a hard court event this year. Her last two matches have been lost, the most recent to Heather Watson (ranked outside the top 100) in Warsaw. We go for Samsonova to get through to round two.
