Linda Noskova vs Tamara Korpatsch Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Prague Open
by Kennedy Kechula in Tennis Predictions
Fourth seed Linda Noskova is through to another Prague Open semifinal and will on Saturday take on qualifier Tamara Korpatsch. Linda Noskova was unfortunate to lose at this stage last season. She will hope for better tidings in her quest for a first title of the season. The Czech number nine has boosted her world ranking by advancing to this round. She is now up 16 places to 55th in the live ranking. In her last match, she defeated Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in dominant fashion. In just 53 minutes, the 18-year-old had gotten the job done and relinquished only two games. This was her second straight-sets victory in the competition. Noskova is having a decent season and has compiled a 25-15 record. Fourteen of her victories have come in 19 outings on hard court. The surface has provided her with her highlight of the season. This was in Adelaide where she made a tour final for the first time in her career.
Tamara Korpatsch has been in excellent form in Prague. The German had not won a match on hard court before arriving to make her debut here. She now has a 5-4 record on the surface with all five of her victories, starting from the qualifiers, coming via straight sets. To advance to her second semifinal of the season, Korpatsch defeated sixth-seed Alize Cornet 7-6, 6-1. Defeating a higher seed should have her confident of getting the job done against Noskova. Despite her success in Prague, Korpatsch is still on a losing record for the season. She has lost 20 of the 37 matches she has played. And it is only on hard court where she has a winning record. She is now ranked 80th in the live ranking after moving up a massive 19 places. The winner here will play either lucky loser Nao Hibino or world number 122 Jaqueline Cristian in the final.
