The first qualifying round of the 2022 US Open saw her defeat Katarzyna Kawa in straight sets.

Eugenie Bouchard is one of those players better known these days for her social media posts than tennis results. The Canadian has had plenty of injury problems and the former world number five only recently made her comeback after surgery on her right shoulder. Bouchard gained entry into the US Open on a protected ranking as she began this week without one due to her inactivity. It was the Odlum Brown VanOpen in Canada that saw her comeback and she lost to Arianne Hartong (ranked 166th) winning just five games. The first qualifying round saw her get a win over Yuki Naito (ranked 197th) in straight sets This is tougher and Noskova can be backed to get the victory.
