Linda Noskova vs Elina Svitolina Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Monterrey Open

Two seeds will battle it out in this Monterrey Open quarter-final. Fifth seed Linda Noskova faces Elina Svitiolina who is seeded one place above her. Who will make it into the semi-final of this hard court tournament? Here's our match prediction.

Linda Noskova is the world number 35 and just missed out on being seeded for the upcoming US Open. This is her second match against Svitolina with the other being in this year's Australian Open. Noskova led 3-0 in the first set when Svitolina retired.

Noskova went on to reach the last eight of that hard court Grand Slam. This year has seen the 19-year-old has won 16 of her 23 hard court matches. Her last three matches on all surfaces had been lost, so a good run in Monterrey was definitely needed. 

This is her third quarter-final of the year and the second on hard courts. Her only semi-final on this surface in 2024 came in Brisbane right at the start of the year. This week has seen her win two matches, both in straight sets.

Only one game was lost against Anna Danilina in the first round. It was tougher in her last match but Xiy Wang also failed to win a set off her.

Elina Svitolina is ranked 28th in the world and up a place in the live rankings. The Czech has played 21 hard court matches this year and won 14 of them. Last week she made it to round three in Cincinnati but lost to Aryna Sabalenka.

This is only her third quarter-final of the year and second on hard courts. One final has been reached and that was in Auckland in January. Just one match has had to be played this week. That produced a straight sets win over unseeded Elina Avanesyan.
