Liam Broady vs Casper Ruud Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Fourth seeded Casper Ruud bids to reach the third round at Wimbledon for the first time. He takes on unseeded British player Liam Broady with the winner possibly facing 26th seeded Denis Shapovalov in the last 32.  Ruud is the world number four and has reached three Grand Slam finals in the past 13 months - two at Roland Garros and the 2022 US Open. However, he is yet to show good form on grass at Wimbledon. Last year he beat Albert Ramos Vinolas to win his first ever match in this Grand Slam. He then lost to Ugo Humbert in round two. Before that win last year, Ruud had lost all three of his matches at Wimbledon, one in the qualifying rounds. Hi last tournament was at Roland Garros where he lost to Novak Djokovic in the final. He didn't play any of the grass court warm-up events. The first round of Wimbledon saw him beat qualifier Laurent Lokoli but he dropped the second set.

Liam Broady had a big win in the first round with a straight sets win over Constant Lestienne. That's taken him up to 132nd in the live rankings. Last year saw him get to the third round of this Grand Slam and that included a win ober the 12th seeded Diego Schwartzman before losing in straight sets to 19th seed Alex de Minaur. The win over Lestienne meant that Broady has made it to the second round at Wimbledon for the fourth year in a row.  He's mever made it past the first round in any of the other Grand Slam events. Broady reached the last 16 of this year's Nottingham grass court event and will put up a stiff fight in this match. We go for both players to win a set in this match.
