Leinster vs Clermont Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions Cup

The top two in Pool 5 of the European Rugby Champions Cup meet on Saturday. Leinster are in second place and host Clermont who lead the group on points difference after the first set of games. Both teams have five points, read our match prediction below.
Also in the group are Stade Rochelais (a point behind the top two), Bath on one point with Bristol and Benetton both to register a point. Leinster have lost in the final of this competition for the past three seasons but have been crowned champions four times.
Their 2024/25 campaign began well with a 35-12 win at Bristol. Their season is going well and they top the United Rugby Championship with a 100% record after seven games. They have the best defence in that league with only 92 points scored against them and 24 in three home wins.
Clermont beat Benetton 28-0 at home last weekend. They are third in Top 14 with seven wins and four defeats. All of those losses have come on the road with only one win. 172 points have been conceded in their five away matches in Top 14 this season.
This is an ideal chance for Leinster to get a win and we tip them to do so and defy a 25 point handicap.

Leinster will hope to go one better this season after three successive losses in the final of this competition. They have been in dominant form this season with all eight of their matches being won. Last weekend saw them go to Bristol and win 35-12.
