Leandro Riedi vs Jack Draper Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells

Jack Draper makes his return to the ATP Tour in the Indian Wells tournament. He's not played since the Australian Open due to a leg injury and now faces world number 135 Leandro Riedi. The winner of this match will take on the 24th seed Dan Evans in round two. Draper was as high as 38th in the rankings last month but he started this week ranked 56th. He's only played three tournaments this year, all of them in Australia. His best performance was in the second Adelaide International where he made it to the semi finals. That included wins over Tommy Paul and Karen Khachanov. He had a tough draw in the Australian Open taking on defending champion Rafael Nadal losing in four sets in a match that saw him suffer cramp problems. He's up to 51st in the live rankings and 112th in the Live ATP Race.

Leandro Riedi's ranking in the latest list is eight places below the career high he achieved in late January. The Swiss player got 2023 off to a good start with a run to the final of the Challenger Tour event held in Canberra. It was disappointing therefore when he lost in the third qualifying round of the Australian Open, being beaten by then world number 2016 Dalibor Svrcina and only winning four games, all in the second set. He then lost in the last 32 of the ATP tournament held in Marseille. Riedi had to win two qualifiers to get through to the Indian Wells main draw. He had to go to three sets to get past Alex Michelsen but then beat Alexandre Muller in straight sets. This is a lot tougher and Draper can get the victory.
