Laslo Djere vs Zhizhen Zhang Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Hamburg Open

Laslo Djere and Zhang Zhizhen both unseeded, will on Saturday battle in the Hamburg European Open semifinals. The winner here will book a final showdown with either fourth seed Alexander Zverev or unseeded Arthur Fils. Djere has advanced to the semifinals here for the second time. He will now hope to fare better than he did two seasons ago and advance to the final. He is a strong performer on clay and favours the surface more than any other. It is therefore not a coincidence that the majority of his 24 victories this season have come on the surface. He has compiled a 15-10 record on clay and has one challenger final, his only final of the year, on the surface. To advance to this round, the Serb defeated defending champion Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets. This win has moved him up 12 places to 45th in the live ranking.

Zhang Zhizhen is seven places behind Djere in the live ranking and is ranked 52nd which is a career high. The Chinese number one has struggled with his form and before arriving for his second appearance here, was on a losing record. He has so far compiled a 21-21 record and like Djere, has had the most success on clay. Fourteen of his victories have come on the surface though he is yet to play a tournament-deciding match this season. Zhizhen also won in the previous round in straight sets. He defeated crowd favourite Daniel Altmaier by the loss of eight games. In his debut here two seasons ago, Zhizhen was eliminated in the opening round. Advancing to the last four will have him highly confident of winning the tournament.
