Laslo Djere vs Sebastian Baez Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Winston-Salem Open

Fourth seeded Laslo Djere has reached the Winston Salem Open quarter finals without dropping a set. He takes on sixth seed Sebastian Baez for a place in the last four. The semi-final will see the winner of this match face either the top seed Borna Coric or unseeded Juan Martin Cerundolo. Djere is the world number 34 but down three places in the live rankings.  That's because he reached the final of this tournament last year so has those points to defend. He will be the 32nd seed at the upcoming US Open and later today will learn who his first round opponent will be. Djere hadn't won a hard court match since March before playing this tournament. He's had two good straight sets wins over Facundo Diaz Acosta and promising American teenager Alex Michelsen. His only match against Baez was this year with his opponent winning but that was on clay.

Sebastian Baez started this Winston Salem Open ranked 42nd but is up to 39th after reaching this quarter final. A win in this match will take him above Djere in the rankings. The Argentinian hasn't played a hard court tournament since March when losing in the last 64 of the Miami Masters. Five previous hard court events this year produced a single win and that was against a player ranked outside the top 100. Eager for some time on a  hard court before the US Open, he's had a good but tough week in Winston Salem. Baez has had to go to three sets in both of his matches played so far. The second round saw him have to come from behind to beat Daniel Elani Galan. That was followed by a three set win over ninth seeded Aleksandar Vukic in which each set was won 6-4. This looks tougher and we go for Djere to get the win.
