Laslo Djere vs Alex De Minaur Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Libema Open

Fourth seeded Australian Alex de Minaur bids to reach the Libema Open quarter-finals. He takes on unseeded Laslo Djere having received a bye into this second round. The winner faces either the sixth seeded Tallon Griekspoor or unseeded Alexei Popyrin. De Minaur is ranked 18th in the world and has a good record on grass. He got to the final of the Boy's Singles at Wimbledon seven years ago losing to Denis Shapovalov. He's now ranked higher than the Canadian. 2021 saw him win the Eastbourne tournament and last year made it to the fourth round at Wimbledon. The 24-year-old has won one tournament in 2023, a hard court event in Acapulco. The past two years have seen him win 15 out of 22 matches played on grass. One of his wins was against Djere, beating him in three sets at the Cinch Championship at Queen's Club in London. That made it 2-0 for him against Djere after a hard court win in Paris four years ago. 

Laslo Djere began this tournament ranked 60th in the world. He's had 18 wins this year but 12 of them were on clay. The Serb achieves his best results on that surface and reached the final of a Challenger Tour clay court event in May. On grass courts his record isn't so strong. He's never made it past the second round at Wimbledon, losing five of his seven matches in qualifying and the main draw. Of 14 matches played on the surface only four have been won. The first round saw him defeat qualifier Richard Berankis in straight sets. If he can beat de Minaur, it'll be the first time he's won two grass court matches in a calendar year. We don't believe that will happen and tip de Minaur to win this second round match.
